Key Features & Benefits for the Tennant T16
-
Chemical-Free Cleaning Options
Offers eco-friendly innovations such as ec-H₂O™, which electrically transforms water into an effective cleaning solution—eliminating the need for chemical cleaners, reducing costs, and promoting a safer, greener workspace. Additional technologies like ES® (Extended Scrubbing) and FaST® (Foam Scrubbing Technology) extend scrub time and decrease chemical and water usage drastically. -
Broad Scrubbing Coverage & Efficient Recovery
The scrubber has a standard 36-inch (910 mm) path, extendable to 45 in (1,145 mm) with the side scrub brush. A large 190 L (50 gal) solution tank and a 225 L (60 gal) recovery tank paired with a Dura-Trak™ parabolic squeegee ensure fast, effective cleaning and water pickup. -
Quiet, Intuitive, and Operator-Centric
Operating at just 68 dBA, the T16 minimizes noise. Its Touch-n-Go™ steering control keeps hands on the wheel even when changing settings, enhancing safety and usability. Excellent visibility, ergonomic design, and helpful storage (e.g., tool caddy) boost operator comfort. -
Robust and Versatile for All Environments
Built tough with durable materials and protective bumpers, the T16 stands up to heavy use. Optional enhancements include sweeping side brushes, debris capture systems, spill recovery attachments, and protective guards for challenging environments.
Where Does the Tennant T16 Floor Scrubber Stack Up in the Range?
The Tennant T16 sits in the mid-to-large ride-on category, offering a strong balance between compact manoeuvrability and high-output performance.
In short, the Tennant T16 is ideal for customers who want a powerful, dependable ride-on scrubber that boosts productivity, supports sustainable cleaning, and delivers professional results shift after shift.
-
Compared to walk-behind and micro ride-on models (T560)
The T16 delivers a wider cleaning path, larger solution and recovery tanks, and higher productivity, making it far better suited to bigger floor areas and longer cleaning shifts. -
Compared to compact ride-on scrubbers (T7 and T12)
It steps up with increased scrubbing pressure and coverage, allowing operators to clean faster while reducing the number of stops for refilling or emptying tanks. -
Compared to larger industrial ride-on scrubbers (T20)
While not as large as heavy-duty industrial machines, the T16 hits a sweet spot for sites that need strong performance without the size, cost, or complexity of the biggest models.

Tennant T16 Scrubber Options: What is the difference between Disk and Cylindrical Brushes?
Disk brushes scrub using a flat, rotating pad or brush that delivers strong down-pressure, making them ideal for deep cleaning smooth floors like vinyl or polished concrete. They provide the best results for shine and finish but require pre-sweeping, as they don’t collect debris.
Cylindrical brushes use two fast counter-rotating rollers that scrub while also sweeping small debris into a tray, eliminating the need to pre-sweep. They excel on textured, uneven, or grouted floors and are more efficient in environments with loose dirt. Overall, disk is best for flat, high-finish floors, while cylindrical is best for debris-heavy or textured surfaces.
