Choose the Tennant T500e for Heavy-Duty Walk-Behind Performance at a More Accessible Price Point

When you need the power of the T500 without the full ProPanel™ LCD technology suite, the Tennant T500e delivers exactly that with Tennant's heavy-duty walk-behind performance in a more streamlined, more affordable package. This self-propelled battery-powered walk-behind scrubber shares the same 85L solution tank, 102L recovery tank, Insta-Fit™ magnetic head, foot-activated squeegee, and integrated p-trap as the T500, in a 700mm dual disk configuration. With up 5 hours of run time and productivity of 3,270m² per hour, the T500e delivers same Tennant build quality at a lower cost of entry.

Key Features & Benefits of the Tennant T500e

  • Same large tanks as the T500 — 85L solution and up to 102L recovery — for extended cleaning runs — the T500e shares the T500's large tank pairing, meaning fewer dump-fill cycles per shift, more floor covered per tank, and higher sustained productivity on large-area cleaning routes — all at a lower price point than the full T500.

  • Insta-Fit™ magnetic head for fast, ergonomic, no-contact brush and pad changes — TennantTrue® brushes and pad drivers install and remove with a single ergonomic motion using the Insta-Fit™ magnetic head, eliminating awkward bending, tool use, or direct contact with worn pads — keeping maintenance fast and operator-friendly across the working life of the machine.

  • Foot-activated squeegee with integrated p-trap virtually eliminates water drips — the ergonomically positioned foot-activated squeegee makes lowering and raising the squeegee effortless during operation, while the integrated p-trap all but eliminates water dripping on the floor after the scrubber passes — reducing slip hazards and keeping floors dry and safe.

  • Optional ec-H2O NanoClean® technology for effective, chemical-reduced cleaning — Tennant's exclusive ec-H2O NanoClean® electrically converts water into millions of microscopic nanobubbles that clean effectively across a wide range of soils, significantly reducing daily chemical use, lowering operating costs, and supporting sustainability goals without sacrificing cleaning performance.

  • Membrane control panel with propel switch and speed settings within easy reach — straightforward, reliable membrane-based controls with the propel direction switch and speed settings within comfortable reach of the operator, keeping operation simple and consistent without the complexity of a full touchscreen system — ideal for facilities with multiple operators and high staff turnover.

Why Choose the Tennant T500e Over Other Tennant Floor Scrubbers

The T500e sits alongside the T500 in the heavy-duty end of the Tennant walk-behind range and is the right choice when the facility needs the T500's tank capacity and scrub head versatility but doesn't require (or have the budget for) the full ProPanel™ LCD technology suite.

  • More tank capacity and cleaning width than any mid-range model at a lower cost than the T500 — the T500e's 85L/102L tanks and 700mm–800mm cleaning paths significantly outperform the T391's 70L/70L tanks and 700mm path, and the T300's 42L/53L tanks and 600mm path. For facilities that have outgrown mid-range machines but want heavy-duty performance without the premium cost of the full T500 feature set, the T500e sits in the right position.

  • The right step before the T600's industrial-scale capacity — for facilities that need more than the T500e — 121L tanks, cleaning paths up to 900mm, 6.9 hours of run time, and the T600's industrial-grade rust-proof construction — the T600 is the natural next step in the Tennant walk-behind range.

Compare the Pair: Tennant T500e vs Tennant T500

The T500e and T500 share the same 85L/102L tanks, Insta-Fit™ head, foot-activated squeegee, integrated p-trap, optional ec-H2O NanoClean®, and Smart-Fill™. The differences come down to control system sophistication, scrub head flexibility, and a handful of features only available on the T500. If those features matter to your operation, choose the T500. If they don't, the T500e delivers the same core cleaning performance for less.

  • Control panel — the T500e uses a simpler relay-based membrane control panel mounted on the recovery tank lid. The T500 features the ProPanel™ LCD touchscreen in a fixed rear-mounted position with Zone Settings™, operator lock-out, and optional on-board tutorial videos — giving supervisors more control over how the machine is used across multiple operators and different areas of a large facility.

  • Scrub head and down pressure options — the T500e is available in a single 700mm dual disk configuration with two down pressure settings (32 kg and 54.5 kg). The T500 offers disk, cylindrical, and orbital head options across 700mm and 800mm cleaning paths, with three down pressure settings. This gives facilities the flexibility to match the machine precisely to different floor surfaces and soil types.

  • Solution tank auto-fill — the T500 offers an optional solution tank auto-fill system with water level monitor that automatically fills the tank to capacity and shuts off. This feature is not available on the T500e where operators must manually refill the solution tank between cleaning runs.
